The new Olympus professional digital voice recorders (DS-5000/iD) uses AES (Advanced Encryption System) encryption with a key length of 128bit. The AES cipher has been approved by the NSA and is fast in both hardware & software. Encryption of data is only supported when recording in DSS Pro format as DSS Classic does not support encryption.
