If you experience an error message within the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 software, you should try the configuration file, which is the user .xml file and restart the application.  When the application is re-started a new configuration file (profile) will be created. 
There are a few ways this can be done.
Windows XP user: 
1. Close the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 software
2. Go to Start > Run
3. Type: %AppData% then press Enter
4. You will be redirected to the Application Data folder, find the Olympus folder and delete it.
5. Open the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 Software.
Windows Vista & 7 Users:
1. Close the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 software
2. Go to My Computer > C:/
3.  Find the Users folder and select your user name
4.  Open the Application Data folder
5.  Find the Olympus folder and delete it.
6. Open the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 software.
