I have a few questions regarding using the Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5.0.11 in a Citrix environment
Question: 1. Can you install DSS Player Pro Release 5 on a 2008 R2 64bit Terminal Server running Citrix XenApp 6?
Answer: The Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 is compatible with Citrix XenApp 6 but Citrix XenApp 6 only runs/compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2. Since it is not supported on Windows 2003 Server, there is no value in mentioning Windows 2003 in our Citrix and Terminal Services release notes. The text will be updates in the next release.
Question: 2. Is Citrix XenDesktop 5 supported now?
Answer: XenDesktop is not officially supported, however; there are a number of customers in Europe who are using it and have not recieved reported issues.
Question: 3. Can you install DSS Player Pro Release 5 in both transcription mode and dictation mode on the server if we choose to install it there?
Answer: The Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 Dictation Module & Transcription Module can co-exist on the same PC, workstation or server. Virtual or else.
