Does Olympus DSS Player Pro Release 5 support thin clients?

Yes.  Olympus DSS Player Pro R5 does have thin client support.  At this time Olympus supports thin clients for Citrix and Terminal Service (RDP).

Note: This is not to be confused with a thick or fat client.

Definition: a computer heavily dependent on a server’s applications.  Generally the thin client does as little processing as possible and relies on accessing the server each time input data needs to be processed or validated.

Only the following thin clients are supported at this time: 

– Windows XP Embedded

– Windows Embedded 2009
