Yes and no. The playback feature will work while you are dictating in Notepad. It will not playback once you save, close and reopen the dictation with Notepad as it is not an editor that can read a DRA format which dragon saves. Thus, it will not open the Dragon output text file from an audio transcription. You can open the text file with a rich text editor such as Microsoft Word and playback will always be available.
