Our friends at Olympus has recently released a new RecMic Admin Center. For those of you new to Olympus dictation products, the Olympus RecMic is their latest hand-held USB microphone with programmable buttons.
The RecMic Administration Center is comprised of two applications that can be used to further enhance the applications functionality while providing additional ease-of-use for administrators. The RecMic Administration Panel and the Repository Service can only be used in systems utilizing Workgroup Mode Only.
The RecMic Administration Panel is an application for administrators that lets them remotely manage the Device Configuration Manager. By installing it on an administrator’s computer, it is possible to configure the voice recognition settings and device settings of users being manager.
RecMic Administration Center makes it possible to dramatically increase the documentation creation productivity and greatly reduce administrators’ workloads as related to management of devices.
The Repository Service is used to access repositories on the workgroup system. Repository Service is a program that interfaces between RecMic Administration Panel and the Device Configuration Manager.
We’ve had the pleasure of testing the new RecMic Admin Center and found it fairly easy to use. We are excited that administrators and office managers now have the ability to centrally manage and update their hardware devices. This new functionality brings Olympus one step closer to offering an enterprise solution.
